hey i was looking at a different thread and it says I need J4c spark plugs on my motor there J8c does this eefect performence? its a 1972 25hp evinrude

It could cause it to run hotter than necessary. I would use what's recommended, unless you strictly troll only...

I doubt it. You most likely have other problems that need to be addressed, but at least start off by using the correct plug for now...What are your running problems with it and have you posted another topic on them yet?

yes I have It starts on the second pull and it just doesnt want to go I cleaned the carberator and it looks clean to me no leaks shifts ok Help OBJ said to look at the back of the carb and ajust the cam. is it starving for fuel I have pressur the bulb is hard

if the plugs are wet(black oil on them do I have carb isues? please help Im ready to scrap it !!
