Hello, I have a 88, 115 merc with an autoblend oil system. It started leaking fuel at the base where the fuel filter housing goes into the tank. My question is can I take out the unit, bypass the fuel line and unplug the three prong connector without any other modifications or problems. I realize I'll be premixing the oil in the fuel tank.
