stator good, charging voltage bad = bad rectifier.
Test for resistance from whichever wire comes from the stator (yellow?) to whichever wire leads to the battery (red?). Then switch the ohmmeter leads and repeat the test. If you get a resistance reading in one of the tests, and none (0.L or infinity) in the other, the rectifier is good and you probably have a wiring problem. Any other result, it's bad.
