I recently overhauled my 4.3 mercruiser. and I am having a difficult time pushing the motor and driveshaft together. The motor mount adjustment is unchanged . I tried a good amount of force and turning the crankshaft. Any helpful hints out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mark at holyonesfavor@yahoo.com

I'll take a stab, and ask if you are talking about
installing the outdrive? (guessing the motor
is back in the boat)
If so, did you get an alignment tool and adjust
your motor mounts so the alignment of the drive
shaft to the engine coupler is perfect?

Generaly you install the motor and then check the alignment with the tool and then install the drive last

It does not sound like thats what your doing ?

The Drive is the 1st thing to Come Off,+ the Last thing to Go On...........

There Ain't No Short-Cuts...............

The Rear Motor Mounts are built to be "Set Down On",........ Not "Slid Into"..............
