Default Evinrude 4 2 cylinder

Hi, got an old evinrude 4 2 cylinder which has not been used for a good while. (not sure of age). There is only a spark from the top plug so I assume I need to get fly wheel off to check magneto?. I have remove the nut on the top of the fly wheel but do not seem to be able to get the fly wheel off. Any thoughts
Cheers:%

Resist the urge to hammer on the shaft. The proper way to remove the flywheel is to use a 3-bolt puller that utilizes the three threaded holes in the flywheel. You can get such a puller at auto parts stores, called a vibration damper puller. Important---also get three grade 8 bolts to go with it unless you like to remove broken bolts. And don't waste your money on the flimsy cast aluminum pullers that are out there--get a good steel one. When you reinstall the flywheel, the shaft and flywheel tapers must be clean and dry. Use a torque wrench to tighten the nut to 40-45 ft/lbs. Now that you know how to do it, do it right!!
