What is sync & link & how does it work?

What is sync & link?
Can I try to force air in through the fuel in line to
remove unwanted gunk? I have a 86 evinrude 140 hp
motor.

no, you can't. its break down and clean properly or you are just wasting time. and use a new rebuild kit. replace fuel lines . linc and sinc puts the carbs in sinc with the engine electrical timing, so proper fuel and electricty make the engine run properly.
