I've got a problem with my 1988 70hp merc. The last two trip out, I've got metal filings on the top cylinder spark plug. It typically happens after about 30minutes and running at full throttle. The marina were I get it serviced installed a helicoil in it after the first time, but still is happening.
Anyone have a clue as to why - is this a bigger problem. Just spent a tonne of money fixing the electrical...so I'm getting frustrated.
