Stabilizer or Planing Fins

I have a 1993 6hp Evinrude that I use on my 12' Aluminum. With me alone in the boat I will slowly get up on plane but with my fishing partner in the front I plow water. I dont' expect to plane with the two of us but would a stabilizer or planing fin help to plow less water. With the two of us in the boat the front splashes up tending to get us slightly wet. If he sits in the middle seat there is no splashing but were not that close and I prefer him sitting in the front d:). Is a planing fin beneficial for my boat and motor application? Seems like an affordable upgrade if it might help.

"would a stabilizer or planing fin help to plow less water" ...not likely. The fins tend to raise the stern of the boat while underway.

You might try something to sit on just in front of the middle seat.A milk crate with a boat cushion comes to mind.If your boat is plowing so much you get wet it could be dangerous and difficult to steer in a following sea.
You could trim the motor out but you would still have a dangerous weight problem in the bow.

With someone in the middle seat the boat does ride better with less plowing. What is the benefit of Stabilizing Fins? Could I find any performance improvements with my 6hp?
