Hello,
We have a 170 HP Mercruiser that was running great and suddenly made a popping sound and stopped out in the middle of the bay. I had my tools/electrical tester and was unable to find 12 volts at the coil or spark plugs with the engine turning over. I noticed that the boat wiring harness had a large red reset button with the number 50 on it. I pushed it but still was unable to read 12 volts anywhere I had previously measured. A good Samaritan pulled us in but I cant figure out what the problem is.
