Good day guys,

Where is a good place online to buy a starter motor pinion gear? I went camping this weekend and yesterday 1 time my starter pinion gear hung up in the flywheel and I had to take the motor cover off move the flywheel and the starter gear went down and the boat cranked right up and off we went with no other problems. reason I ask is because I am having a hard time finding the starter pinion gear and I might replace that gear spring. The starter seems fine to me it spins fast but that gear hangs up and is worn sloped down as looking from the top of the gear. Thanks, Bob

The part number of that bendix gear is 385949 and should be available at any Evinrude/Johnson dealership. If you can't locate it, I have one left in stock.
