Use this battery with my bilge?

I have 2 batteries on my 15 foot runabout. One is used for starting, it is an 800 cranking amp marine starting battery. I bought the other one as a backup starting battery, it is a 600 cranking amp. On the side, it says "marine starting, deep cycle, RV." Can I use this backup battery to run my bilge? I will eventually add running lights to it as well, once I get those wired.

I just want to make sure that I am using the right type of battery with the boat electronics.

The back up battery will be fine to run your bilge.

That sounds like a dual pupose battery and it will work great for what you are doing.

excellent. would it be too taxing on it to eventually run a stereo off it as well?

I recommend you put the bilge pump on your starting battery - the outboard will keep it charged.

I agree with Tex. Radio will be fine on the 600 but running lights and radio will tax the battery. Have a good charger or a trickle charger to hook up when you trailer home.
