will key switch cause erraric spark??

1991 70 Johnson while using today after sitting a while started up and motor only running on top cylinder , pumped choke and it stalled, ball pretty firm. I was limping back and it took off and ran fine rest of trip this has been happening very often lately??
New Plugs
New wires
New Power Pack
New Coils
Water seperating fuel filter
I ask about the key because it appears to stick some times ???

If the key switch was the problem it would kill both cylinders, not just one. When it loses a cylinder, check for spark. If none on the failing cylinder its obviously an ignition problem. If there is spark, its likely a fuel problem. From what you describe however it sounds like an ignition problem. Check grounds on coils and power pack.

I have cleaned every groung on the entire motor. I don't understand how the powerpack can ground when the wire is up against the block(metal) and the pack (plastic) should i put a washer between pack and ground wire???
