THANK EVERYONE HERE FOR THE ON TARGET ADVISE! I REPLACED THE RECTIFIER AND NOW SHE CHARGES @13.5 VOLTS PLUS, I DONT THINK I WILL DO THAT AGAIN . TO THE NEW READERS I FRIED MY RECTIFIER WHEN I CONNECTED THE BATTERY WRONG IT ONLY TOOK ABOUT A SECOND!! OOPS!

I FRIED MY RECTIFIER WHEN I CONNECTED THE BATTERY WRONG IT ONLY TOOK ABOUT A SECOND!! OOPS!
You sould be able to protect it with a fuse rated to stand the maximum current that would normally pass (A quick blow one would be best I suppose) or better perhaps with diode provided that does not drop the voltage to low.

(I don't like this new forum software but I guess I'll get used to it)

Or just mark the terminals , better on your battery. Alot of time its hard to see the little - + . When the battery gets dirty etc.
If your wiring harness, has the proper colored pos. wire .
You should be able to avoid this happening again.

I did the same thing! I went ahead and bought the Red and Black colored terminals, just in case!

Nail Polish all of mine, plus after $130, I just pay attention instead
