This year when I started my 90 HP Johnson for the first time it ran really bad.
Basicly it will only idle, and not really very well at that. The moment that I try to advance the throttle it stalls out. I have tried everything from changing the water seperator to cleaning the small filter in the fuel line and using choke and carb cleaner. I even ran the motor using a small 2 gallon can to rule out bad fuel in the main tank.
When it is idling it helps to push the key in once in a while to prime/choke it.
Somebody suggested that since this motor (J90PLST) has oil injection that one or maybe all 4 carbs are filled with oil and that I would need to drain them out to fix the problem. Anybody have any suggestions or ideas?
Hopefull,
