If you had old fuel in it, you will need to remove the carb, disassemble it and clean it out. Then get some new fuel and try it again. Old fuel is a major cause of motors not running right or at all...Do you have good spark now? Try putting some pre-mix in a spray bottle and shoot some in the carb throat with the throttle open....Then give it a try. If it runs for a few seconds or tries to start, look for a clogged carb to be the problem...
