was out skiing the other day and everytime i tried to pull up a skiier, the engine would stall. driving is fine, accelerating slowly is fine, however when i hit it, it stalls. just removed the auto mix oil system and put a new bulb and fuel line on. compression is good, just checked over in the shop. have had this problem before and wonder if i need to reset the idle?, change gas filter? or what? If i have to reset the idle, how do you do it? Is there a manual for my 1990 mariner 6cyl inline that I can find online, or do I have to order this?

It's a 1988... and it's probably overpropped (pitch) and can't spool up under load. It outta make 5500 WOT with a "normal" boatload.

If hitting it a little more gently won't do it.... it's most likely seeing too much load... reduce prop pitch.
