I have a 1997 200 EFI with low hours. Wayer pump went out so I changed it. It worked great 1st time out, 2nd. time out pump worked for a while then quite working. When I pulled the lower unit the rubber slinger on top of the pump had melted. Could I have not put enough sealant between the exhaust and the pump housing?
