1989 force 50 hp. slowely idles up high in neutral.

When I put the gear in neutral. the motor starts to slowley revs up to a high idle. Can anyone help me?

Sounds like it is running a bit lean.

The idle mixture screw on the carb should be 1 turn out from lightly seated.
Maybe a little bit more.
Try that and see what it does.
