Default Trim Tabs

Hi,

I'm a new owner of a 2006 Bayliner 24.5 Cruiser Sunbridge and I would like to know more on how trim tabs are used. My last boat didn't have trim tabs I was looking for any bit of help I can get.

Thanks Debbie

They are useful in helping your boat get up on plane faster and stay on plane at slower speeds. Also if your having a problem with the boat listing from side to side while you are on plane, they will help balance you out. The smart tabs are not controlable like the hydrolic tabs, but they are way cheaper. You can check those out at http://http://www....abs.htm

If you have alot of people sitting on one side of the boat while its underway, the trim tab will level off the boat to zero degrees.

I've got a 21' bayliner cuddy and the smart tabs did wonders for the boat. It not only gets on plane faster but is much more stable at all speeds. I still do not understand why boats do not come equipped with them.
