Default Spark plug gap - Evinrude Lark - 1958
Does anyone know what the spark plug gap should be on my 1958 Lark 35hp?

.030 but if you use it at low speeds I find .035 is better

Be sure to use only Champion J4C (replaces J4J).

Over time OMC recommended .030", then .040", then back to .030". Currently, it is .030", but as rwise says .035" or .040" works better for extended low speed operation.
