I purchased a 1988 Celebrity 190 Bowrider with 5.0 liter Mercruiser. Anyone know what the fuel capacity of this boat is? I have no manual or specs.

Re: Celebrity Boats

I happen to have a 1987 Sales Brochure. 190V Bow Rider had a 40 gal tank. Dry weight was 2,825 lbs. I will try to scan the page in for you.

Good luck with your boat!!!

Re: Celebrity Boats

Greetings......I have an '87 210v br. Does your brochure publish all specs for all '87 models?

If so, I would be very intersted in fuel capacity for the 210, and more if you have scanned it

thnx

Most Celebrity Boats of these similar years and size have a 40 gallon tank

Re: Celebrity Boats

Guys,
I have a 1989 Sales Brochure (eventually I will get around to scanning it and posting it).
Fuel Capacity and Dry Weight is shown as follows:
181 24 Gal 2275 Lbs (built in swim platform)
182 30 Gal 2800 Lbs (square back, separate platform)
187 30 Gal 2800 Lbs (b.i. platform)
192BR 39 Gal 3050 Lbs (Sq back)
192CC 51 Gal 3050 Lbs (sq back)
199BR 39 Gal 3050 Lbs (b.i platform)
199CC 51 Gal 3050 Lbs (b.i. platform)
208 51 Gal 3325 Lbs (Sq back)
215 51 Gal 3325 Lbs (b.i. platform)
224 60 Gal 3700 Lbs (Sq back)
231 69 Gal 3700 Lbs (b.i. platform)

Most sizes have the same tanks for BR as CC, but not all. If you wonder why two different sizes have the same weight, it's because the additional length (for example) for a 231 vs a 224 is the built-in swin platform that weighs almost nothing compared to the additional hull length that the square backs (or "classic") boats have. I have a 224, and it has more interior room than a 231.
Another thing to notice is that Celebrity appears to have been very generous in tank sizes (more weight, less MPG, but less chance of buying gas at marinas).
Hope the info above is helpful.
Jorge
