Hi Adam...welcome to our little piece of the world...known as iboats!

Your engine year is 1969.

Fuel mix is 50:1

Spark Plug is a champion J4C set at .030. You can get a better idle out of the engine if you set the plugs at .040.

If you would need any other info, just post your questions here.

thnx for the info

i just bought this boat 2 weeks ago and have been running it with a 30:1 mix or richer because i was under the assumtion that it was pre-1965 and the guy i bought from said i should go 30-35:1

Anyway ,the last time i had her out it would bog down when i opened up the throttle and not go faster than a fast idle speed, still starts and runs fine but won't accelerate to plane out. Do you think this is something that could be fixed by a fresh mix of gas and bleeding the line, or am i looking at a carb rebuild? This is my first boat and i'm no mechanic just wondering if using a mix that rich for a few tanks could cause much damage . Thanx for your time

No damage, but that carb needs to come off and cleaned, and a rebuild kit would do wonders

Thanx for the advice
I've become quite a boating addict over the last few months and don't want to kill my first investment in it.

If you have a good site for a carb rebuild kit or info for this motor let me know
