Default Pontoon Trailer?

What is the best and easiest to load and unload your pontoon. I have heard that the crankup trailer are hard on your pontoon. But the other is very hard to load the pontoon.
What do you think.

Default Re: Pontoon Trailer?

All the toon trailers I've used were basically float on types with a winch to cinch up the last couple inches.

There are two types.

1. Trailers that hold up the deck. They have a very narrow wheelbase.

2. Trailers that hold the toons on bunks.

I prefer #2.

the crank up type are called sizzor trailers. had a very narrow wheel base. and look extremely unstable on the road. if you are going to be doing long distant towing i would go with the too bunk trailer which has a much wider stance. when you buy the trailer get a longer tongue than necessary to facilitate getting the trailer deeper at the ramp. on our 23' I/O deck boat we have about 6 feet between the hitch and the bow stop.
