Engine replacement

Hello all,<br /><br />I have a 40 ft Silverton with 454's.<br /><br />I have purchased a new pair of 8.1 Crusader with Hutrh down angle gears.<br />The place that sold them to me said they are about 6 inch’s shorter than my <br />current engines.<br /><br />I am planning on moving the engine mounts back is the height basically the<br />same for the new engines.<br /><br />I know that there will be some difference, but I would like to make sure that I am close.<br /><br />Any info would be great. Thanks
