Made a dash to Little Barrier Island yesterday morning. We had a ball, the weather played it's part well and stayed calm and hot. The fish turned up when they needed to and the company was electric!

Here's a huge school of Mau Mau that stayed around the boat. We had Mako sharks around us all the time we stayed here. One of them even took a live bait meant for kingfish.
What a great day, steaming out 30 odd miles, fishing for such an abundance of food, and wonderful scenery.
It all makes you feel good to be alive!

Oh!, we took home Snapper, Kahawai, Blue Mau Mau, Trevally, and Blue Cod. Dinner tonight will be smoked Kahawai with garlic bread.
Ross

I'm putting this place up for sale. I could get used to Christmas in the summer.

Absolutely incredible.
