Re: What time is it???

Hi, try this link to the US Government Time Site, download and install the free software and your computer's clock can be automatically set to the correct time, I use it and it works fine, Ken

http://tf.nist.gov/service/its.htm

By the way, usually when we ask what time it is what we really mean is how much time do I have left to get somewhere, do somthing, etc. think about it,,,,

You need to change the small battery on the motherboard. It looks like an oversized watch battery.

Be very careful if you try to change the CMOS battery. While it may control the clock settings, you will lose other important internal settings as well.

If you are using XP, you can update your system clock by double clicking on the time, then the internet time tab.

Holdimhook has some good advice about the CMOS battery, it will reset your BIOS to factory defaults. That may be where you have it now, but most systems dont use the default settings.
