Hello all, I was just wondering what you guys think the value of my boat is. I bought it for 3600 which I that was a steal for an 18' Baja Sunsport 184 with an outboard Merc. 150 Black Max that probably only needs to have the carbs rebuilt to run like new. The previous owner took good care of it and it was parked in his garage when not in use...Came with the Trailer which i have since added LED Side markers and Tail lights. Overall I love the boat but just need to make some minor repairs/maintenance to get it to where I want it. Thanks for looking.
That is a sharp Baja. If it is all original and clean, no rot and a good motor it is worth what you paid and more. That's a quick boat you've got, where are you going to use it in WI?
Nice boat! I have a 1985 Sunsport 200, its a finsh&ski version of the bowrider you have. I don't have any decent pix yet, but she's sound except for a soft spot around a deck drain in the bow seat area. The 150 Black Max runs well enough, but a prop change is in my future since I don't run WOT and I'd like to get on plane quicker. The boat is VERY sensitive to trim adjustments and the prop will blowout in any kind of chop if trimmed up for best speed. But every boat has its quirks...
All in all, I'm very happy with it and I got a great deal on mine as well.
Nice Boat! I saw a nice looking 20 footer with a 175 or 200 yamaha go for $5000 on Ebay two weeks ago. I am looking at selling my 16.5 baja and upgrading to just a little bigger one like yours. Does yours have a ski locker in the floor? Is there storage in the pointed part of the bow?
Does yours have an almost flat spot on underside of the the hull back near the moter (like a ski ray). Mine does and it make for a awesome slalom wake.
