yeah....oh yeah....I own a '85 amberjack w/ twin OMC's...nothin but trouble...parts are hard to find and mechanics that will touch them are harder to find.....my advice is "stay away"
I only know of one couple that has OMC i/o power in their boat and it has been nothing but trouble for them. Mainly the leg has been the issue, constantly, not the engine. They don't run the boat hard at all but it still breaks. Now it's in their back yard... where it'll be forever I'm sure. I say stay away too. Other than that one's OMC drives, those Amberjacks are nice boats.
