Just wondering if there has been any testing on which aluminum prop design may be the most efficient.

I'm sure each manufacturer will say that theirs is.What engine are you propping?If Evinrude or Johnson,I personally am partial to OMC props.Why? Because that's what the engine was factory tested with to establish it's performance curves.
