nissan carbs.

I have a NS55 serial no.353-113906 55 H.P. nissan. It starts great and runs perfect at w.o.t. but from idle to about 3500 rpm it has a jerk like a miss in it.just enough to hear and feel. But still runs good when thats going on .just wondering what the low side adjustment on the carbs is how many turns out from fully seated ? ther is one screw on top for idle and the other screw is on the side thats the low side adjustment screw i think correct me if i am wrong . any ideas ?? :)

On most of the import type carbs found on small engines, you'll find transition circuits.

You may find a small hole in the carb bore "behind" the idle hole near the butterfly.

You also will find (under many circumstances) an emulsion tube above the main jet that may protrude into the venturi. If these areas are not clear, it may exhibit poor midrange throttle responce.
