I ordered a carb kit from internet outboards for my tohatsu 40c. I havent received it yet and i am not for sure how detailed the instructions are, if there even are any. Anyway in the meantime I have taken the carb off and cleaned it all up, but I cannot get the float off to get to the needle valve. On most car carbs I have worked on the pivot pin the holds the float usually just slides out. But I cannot seem to get the pin out on this one. I am afaraid of breaking the cast metal on the carb if I try and take if off the wrong way. Does anyone know how to get this pin out?
