1989 125 force transom ( aftermarket parts )

I want to buy a 1989 bayliner Capri with a 125 force L drive. It needs the complete transom, and I can't find it anywhere. Does anybody know who sells the complete unit. I figure it would have to be aftermarket, they don't make parts for this engine anymore. Thank you in advance for anybody who can help. Here is the info the seller gave me. 1989 bayliner capri LD 18.5 feet, 125 force outdrive, said to tell parts person LD125A.

Before buying check all the posts on the L drive.<br /> From the little Ive read I wouldnt take it for free.The transom isn't part of the motor it is the back of the boat where you would mount an outboard.If the boat needs a transom you could<br />rebuild it with the idea to change it over to an outboard.But be sure the rest of the boat is sound.Some of the early Bayliners have a reputation for rotting floors and transoms.
