4 bolts (2 bolts on each side of the lower unit.)
1 nut up in the trim tab pocket.

And then disconnect the shift shaft.
On the starboard side just above the lower unit, there is a coupler nut, held in position with a jam nut.
Loosen the jam nut, then turn the coupler nut the other way to disconnect the shift shaft.

Lower unit should drop down, will maybe need a little gentkle persuasion.

Re: 1996 force impeller change

I am brand new to boating and I need to replace my impeller in a 92 Force 120. Sounds like I should be able to handle the repair according to this thread. Is it a repair for a beginner? I have the SELOC Manual but I have not found a section that is very clear for replacing the impeller. Does anyone know of a good website showing steps and diagrams for this replacement?
