another fuel problem

Ok guys here goes for I hope the last time on this 15 hp force new pump kit new tank line and connector all new fuel lines cleaned carb which was really clean to begin with. Runs much better but it still needs to be choked to run now your going to shoot me. After I gave up and put things away I noticed the little o-ring on the male connector on the motor was split could this little ####### cause my problem please say yes I know it's there for a reason [air]if this is all it is I guess my work is over and I can start enjoying this little guy

Yes, Elto. Air leaks can easily cause your symptoms.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

Thanks JB going to take it for maiden voyage this morning keeping close to shore for a while should push my son's little 12 ft jon like the wind [I hope]and again thanks to all who helped get this motor back to life but like you all know that's why motor dealers have them hanging on their racks the [labor charges] sites like this one keep the backyard mechanics in business.
