Hello Martin. Can you remove the cowling and take a picture of the area where the steering, and throttle controls are hooked up?

There were kits to make that motor an electric start however they will be hard to find. My guess is this motor was originally built with a tiller and not made to have control linkages hooked up however the brackets should be there for them. My guess is the linkages are hooked up wrong at the motor. Please post the picture and also a model number. The model number should be on a stamped plate somewhere below the carburator.

Your motor is more modern than a M/N 2003, which indeed is a 1969. Yours is probably a 1979 or a 1980. It comes with the larger power head and the larger lower unit.

You should probably check the web site: http://www.chryslercrew.com/ where there are quite a few brochures of Chrysler motors and boats.

Regards,

RBruce

In connection with a battery one could start already electrically. What is the original part number?

where the generator must be attached, ido not now, maybe anyone can tell it me, please say on which "Fotoxx".

Thank you very much.

Martin

I seriously doubt you can add an electric starter to that motor. The photo details are poor and it is hard to determine what mounting holes are on there. If no electrical exists for a battery what ever you do is going to have to be jury rigged. It does look like in photo 4 they did make room for a starter but again with the low resolution photos it is hard to say. Can you take a better shot of photo 3 including the whole side of the motor? Are you using digital camera or taking pictures and then scanning them? If you can send me a high res picture of number 3 and 4 maybe I can see something that will help. email ralgoetz@comcast.net

Lieber Martin,
