Re: power problems force 125hp

Many things could play a role. Let me list a few to start with: fresh gas? good plugs? good plug wires? clean fuel filter? plugged air intake for gas tank? clean carburetor? and kinked fuel lines? water in gas?

bad coil, broken rings, blown head gasket.

Check spark, check compression, examine sparkplugs.

I have a 1985 Force 125 Had same problem! put away in great running shape and this season low power running bad! After lotso Diag with Ohm meter I found the STATOR to be bad! It caused #1 week spark #2 NO spark swaped stator leads problem moved to #3 and #4 replaced stator and startes better then its ever had and more power runs like a top! found stator on net 150.00 or so! locally was 350.00!

Check all the wires on the motor esp coming off the stator to the electric block. I had a similar problem with no power motor sounded fine. A wire came off and need to be re-connected.
