Chrysler Ignition

Hello Everyone,<br /><br /><br /> I'm getting a little confused. I have a 74/75/76 Chrysler 60hp Magnapower II outboard that only fires the bottom cylinder. I switched coil packs and it stilled fired at the bottom. I switched trigger leads ( if your standing with the engine in front of you, you being behind the boat, the two leads closest) and the top fired. So I thought that maybe a trigger coil went bad. Too be sure I turned the trigger assembly 180 degrees thinking that the top would fire and the bottom not. Didn't work that way. The bottom fired but the top didn't. Does anyone have any ideas to get his outboard running? BTW The boat was given to me and I don't want to invest in it until I'm sure that the engine is sound. Thanks people!
