Force 35 hp

My Force 35 hp does not want to idle low and cuts off when put into gear. It will aslo cut off after 20 min or so while running across the water and not crank again for the rest of the day. It is not the gas tank not venting, the vent is open. any ideas?

When the motor wont crank do you mean the starter wont turn or the starter turns but the motor wont fire? If starter turns motor and it wont start remove the plugs and smell them. Do you smell or see gas on the tips of the plugs? When you start the motor and it wont idle will goosing the choke improve or kill it? Does this motor have an actual choke or one of the fuel enrichment devises? Please post your model and serial number so someone can see what this motor has on it in regards to ignition system and the choking system

The motor will run at high idle. It has one of the chokes where you push the ignition key in. After i get it in gear it runs fine until it quits. It winds down slowly and then will not fire again. The starter turns the motor but it will not fire. The model # is 3579YA. Serial # 1006.Thanks for your help.
