Ok starter fluid is nasty and could eat plastic easy. Could the previous owner have messed up the reeds? I took the carb off which was easy and rebuilt awhile back but still engine shakes alot. I did not notice any reeds back in there, no reeds lol?

If the reeds were bad it would be spitting out the carb.Be sure there is spark on all cylinders.
Check the compression should be at least 100 lbs.
on all cylinders. It wouldnt hurt to go to the library and study up on 2 stroke operation.
The reed valve lets the fuel air mix into the crankcase and keeps it from spitting back out when it is compressed.
