ok i have replaced the impeller n impeller housing .it pumped water out the exhaust an cooled the head . went back 2 days later now it wont pump no water out n the head is geting real hot. is there a thermostat is it under the little square housing on top of the head over the top spark plug ,being held by 4 flat head screws.and does it need a thermostat. also does it have a pressure releif valve if so where is that little joker :confused:

Yes...there is a T-Stat...and has anyone ran it outside the water since you put the new pump in?<br /><br />Also check the compression. You could have blown the head gasket.<br /><br />TMD

When you reinstalled the LU after impeller change did you make absolutely sure that the water tube was correctly seated at the pump end AND the powerhead end? You may need to remove the motor leg to find out. Not a big job to do.
