Hey guys thanks for all your help!!
Here's the problem- I have a 1988 force 125 and when I first take it out and run fullout it slows from 37 mph to 27 with in 10-15 minutes. I recently had my local marine shop tune it up. In addition I have had the shop adjust my fuel mix. at full throttle.
Thanks again, Tom

Re: 1988 Force slows down

I would think you have an ignition problem. One of your cylinders is not getting spark. As the engine and coils get hotter, the coil fails to provide spark.

When egine is hot and you are experiencing the trouble, check for spark at the spark plugs. One will not be sparking.

Roscoe,
Thanks for your input. Should I be looking at my stater coil?
Thanks, Tom

Check the output at the IGN coils...or look for a wet sparkplug. The stator will knock out more than 1 plug if its the problem.

TMD
