anyone out there who has a older chrysler force 50 hp outboard, what prop are you using. I am using a 10 3/8 with 11 1/2 pitch, and the boat goes great with a light load, but wont plane out with more weight in it. this prop has some nicks in it, but isnt terrible looking, however i dont know alot about props.. any help would be greatly aprreciated.

jason

small knicks wont make a noticable difference. if you want it to plane faster with a load, tilt the motor down a notch or two it will slow you down at top end, but you will plane faster.
hydrofoil will help tremendously!

ok, after looking into what a hydrofoil is, my bayliner w/force 50 came with those wings already on the motor.
