Default pontoon boat motor mount bracket setting

I have a 2004 Bentley 24 ft. pontoon boat with a Mercury 115 4 stroke engine. I had hydraulic steering added and can't get my engine trimmed all the way up. How will the boat be effected if I change the location of the motor on the motor mount bracket?

Are you talking about raising it up on the bracket? Or to one side??

Yes, I am talking about changing the position of the motor on the bracket, raising it up.

Is the hydraulic ram and hose assembly interfearing with something on the boat limiting the range you can tilt the engine? If so, what is hitting/interfearing with what?Raising the engine would not be the ideal way to try to compensate for your problem. Raising the engine would most likely cause cavitation and lack of water flow for the engine cooling. Can you post a picture of the problem?
