Can I only replace this motor with another Force 120 or do I have alternative motors I can use?

You can replace the motor with pretty much anything you choose as long as the Hp doesnt exceed the rating for your bost.. The thing you have to consder is will the steering linkage and wiring match up.

Well, I had to replace my 1990 90HP Force over the winter. I ended up getting a 1992 90HP Force for mainly 2 reasons...controls would be the same, and I wouldn't have any new mounting holes on the boat. I know they can be filled in and covered...but at the same time I wanted to minimize the chance for excess costs involved in changing motors. ie, linkages, controls, electrics, etc.

I know that Force doesn't have the best reputation, but if you can find one that's been taken care of, you should be fine. Good luck!
