nyfalcon

Only as a reference point, you should be running around a 13-1/4" X 17" Pitch prop now. Of course, it is best to find out what your WOT is right now, as DTS suggested, and take it from there. Might look around on the prop hub and post any numbers you can find.

Keep in mind stainless has its +s but a
couple of -s Price and they are rugged so
rugged if you hit something it probably wont break but your motor might. They also say the weight puts extra strain on the drive.

thanks for the replys so fast
the manual says 5000-5500 rpm the boat has only gone to 5100 at the most wide open. i cant find any #'s on the prop i would say its the original one and i dont think its a 17" either

I would say you have a 19" or 21". My 125 on a 19' Bayliner C/C Capri can take a 19" but it is the max I can use by trial and error. No skiing. Yours could be a 21". I have a OEM 21" for sale and I will check the markings if you want. My 17" gives 2 mph less than the 19" but... why not.

Re: 1989 150 force prop

nyfalcon: When I bought my new OB,it came with a aluminum prop. Here is the deal I made with the dealer. I agreed to buy a SS prop as long as I could exchange it (undamaged) for a prop which would work for my boat/motor combination. I wound up exchanging 2 times befor I got the correct operating range. I am not a big fan of SS Prop, you hit something hard and major damage occurs. I just put 13X 19 Prop from my force 125hp on EBay. I Do not think it will work on your boat because my boat was 21' Trophy CC. Also I see props in catalogs which have interchangale plastic parts to change pitch. just some ideas, Hope it helped.
