1985 Force 125 horse model # 1258x5a. stalls when you go into idle after hard running. runs like a champ otherwise. heard that these force engines eat stators like candy. any ideas?
yep:they eat them like candy.i have a 94 120 gone threw 3 of them.if you have the one in the black housing ,you may have to treat the engine to a new candy bar.check the stator resistance with a ohm meter will tell the story.you can pick one up at www.seilermarine.com
thanks for the info guys. will check. Having a stalling problem. motor stalls only in idle, only after running hard. Stator problem? thought the stator was only part of the charging system.
May not be stator,may just need link and sync, and decarb. i have stator on the brain. The stator has the charging coils for the battery, and the charge coils for ignition system.
