I have a 95 9.9 force motor that lost reverse. I don't think this is a common problem. no one has been able to offer any good sugestions on how to fix this forward gear. (factor defect).I don't want to buy a new gear for this motor!!!

Howdy, Time out.<br /><br />You need to be more specific. A "lost gear" is not enough information. What broke?<br /><br />If the gear is broken I don't see any option except to replace it.<br /><br />Let us know.

Hi JB,<br />I have seen digital photos attached to other replies. I think a pic would describe this broken gear better then words. once Flyboymark@aol.com saw a pic, he give me some great options.
