GAS LINES

I have a 1990 force 120 i was looking at the gas lines for any leaks they where loose and had ben put on with tie straps. Is that ok or can i used the metal clamps? : :

If you have any leaks, you can usually find them up to the fuel pump by using the bulb on your fuel line but that won't include anything before the bulb. Yes, you could do yourself well by replacing the tie wraps with hose clamps. You can pick them up at your local automotive store. They make a small clamp that works well on those fuel lines. Just be careful and don't over tighten them on plastic fittings.<br /> :)

I prefer permanent crimp stainless clamps over anything else. Instead of going to your local marine dealer first...try contacting any hydraulic specialty shop and tell them what you're looking for. They're likely have a crimping kit and will install the crimps on your hose for a decent price.<br /><br />Walt
