Just acquired a Sears Gamefisher 9.9 hp outboard to see if I can get it running. Previous owner said he thought it was 40 or 50 years old. I think it is much newer. Can't find a tag with model or serial number after a lot of cleaning. It has been is saltwater and is very corroded but turns over and actually ran briefly when I squirted gas/oil at 24:1 in the carb. It is blue and white and has electronic ignition. Motor cover is fiberglass. Has twist throttle, kill button. Seems modern to me. (I'm really into motors of the 40s and 50s.) Any idea where I can find out vintage of this motor?
