gas line to motor connector (Clinton)

I have an older late 70's 5hp Clinton and I haven't touched it since I was in the 9th grade. It is getting a good spark but definetly not gas. I cannot find a connector that will attach to the motor. It has a round socket with a little brass tube sticking out from the middle. I've taken it to several marinas and nobody has or can even order a connector for it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Cheeze

Can you post a picture of it? Might help make it easier to ID.

I think the Clinton uses a Chrysler connector available at NAPA auto parts.Motor connector is 18-8071 the gas line connector is 18-8062.
Unfortunately some NAPA branches don't know about their 600 page marine products catalog.
You may have to purchase both and adapt to the motor.

JC whittney should carry it.
